A friend referred me to this site hosting the new P500 bill design. This was inspired to give tribute to former philippine president cory cojuangco aquino.

I heard over the news that this has a great chance of being approved.
Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) even backs this up!

As for me, I like the concept of the couple being together. In this way, filipinos can thank them for all the sacrifices they made for the philippine country.

Before we begin, let's first have some basic information about the game GOLF.

The word "golf" is not an acronym for anything. Rather, it derives linguistically from the Dutch word "kolf" or "kolve", meaning quite simply "club". In the Scottish dialect of the late 14th or early 15th century, the Dutch term became "goff" or "gouff", and only later in the 16th century "golf".

The linguistic connections between the Dutch and Scottish terms are but one reflection of what was a very active trade industry between the Dutch ports and the ports on the east coast of Scotland from the 14th through 17th centuries.

Some scholars suggest that the Dutch game of "kolf", played with a stick and ball on frozen canals in the wintertime, was brought by the Dutch sailors to the east coast of Scotland, where it was transferred on to the public linkslands and eventually became the game we know today.

Now that you know some basic origin of the game, let's discuss on how to play the game.

How to play golf?

The game of golf has been around for over 100 years! In those 100 years, we had heard of many great golfers, but many great golfers are still yet to come. As you read on you will discover the different techniques, and the different parts of the game.

Putting

Most golfers believe that driving the golf ball is the most important part of the game. All they are worried about is hitting the ball the furthest. In real time golf, that's not the case. Putting is when you have a club with a straight blade at the bottom about 1 to 3 degrees in loft. The object is to get the ball in the hole. It's not as easy as it looks. In fact, it's actually the hardest part of the game. When you're putting, you have to read the break. In other words, you have to look at the putting surface and see what way the ball is going to break into the hole. If you ask any pro about putting, they will all agree with me that putting is the most important and hardest part of the game. As the old saying goes, " Drive for show, Putt for dough"!

Chipping

Chipping is also a very important part of the game. When you are chipping, you are trying fly the ball on the putting surface close to the pin so that you can make the putt. Chipping occurs from about 5 yards to 50 yards. There are different types of chipping. One is called Bump and Run. When you do this, you put spin on the ball so it will hit the putting surface, bump up and run towards the cup. Naturally after that you'll have to putt

Driving

When a player drives the golf ball, he's not after distance. The key to driving is accuracy. Tiger Woods may hit the ball 310 yards but his driving accuracy is terrible. When you drive the golf ball, it doesn't mean your teeing off with a driver. When your on shorter holes you might use an iron or a wood. Ill get into the clubs a little later on. When you drive the ball you tee the ball up on a tee about 3 inches in the air. It gives you a little bit of a boost to hit the ball. With a 11 degree driver, driving the ball off the ground wouldn't be to easy! Driving isn't the most important part of the game, but it is sure necessary.

Clubs

A golfer is aloud to carry a maximum of 14 clubs including a putter. The clubs consist of a 3 iron, 4 iron, 5 iron, 6 iron, 7 iron, 8 iron, 9 iron, pitching wedge, and sand wedge. The woods consist off 1 wood, 3 wood, and 5 wood. They make 7 woods and 9 woods and they make a 2 iron and 1 iron but the clubs I listed are the ones that count. The lower the number, the lower the ball flight will be, and the further the ball will go. A 7 iron will go a shorter amount of distance then a 5 iron. A 1 wood will go further then a 3 wood. A sand wedge is used out of the sand and a pitching wedge is used to pitch the ball up on the green. That's the basics about the clubs of golf.

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.
He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He
looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket. With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed that God would bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin. The young graduate said to them 'you need the prayer more than I do'.
With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the ground. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.
He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. The proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young graduate a photograph. This same old coin was worth 3 million dollars. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for 3 million dollars within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft and went in search of the old man and little children.
By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He asked the owner of the canteen if he knew them. He said no but they left a note for you. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.
This is what the note said: 'You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin,' signed God the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. 1 Kings 17:10-16; Matthew 11:28-30

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians
everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change
lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his
schemes?

Causes of Bumps on Your Tongue.

Have you ever woken up with an odd and totally unexplainable bump on your tongue? Yes, it does happen from time to time. Your tongue is a very active organ - being used for both speech and eating. As such, there are more than a couple things that can happen to make it sore and bumpy. Let's take a look at some of the common, and not-so-common, causes of bumpy a tongue.

Before getting started with the list of causes, there are a few things to consider when looking at a bumpy tongue. First, look for any odor, drainage or pain on the tongue. Is the problem just on the tongue, or is it on other parts of the mouth as well? Have you taken any new medications lately? Do you have any history of sexually transmitted diseases? How about tooth brushing? Do you do it regularly? Same with flossing? These are all questions your doctor is likely to ask you if you have to make an appointment.

One of the most common (and likely) causes of bumps on your tongue is trauma. Your tongue often has something of a mind of it's own. It can, and does, get nipped by your teeth from time to time. Or the teeth of someone else if you're really lucky, but that's a different topic. Hot food and drinks can cause a small burn which will appear as a small (or large) bump.

Stomatitis, also known as an aphthous ulcer, can cause a bump on your tongue. These ulcers are seen on the tongue, lips, cheeks and roof of your mouth. The ulcers are painful. They are often associated with poor dental hygiene.

Herpes simplex ca cause a bumpy tongue. These small lesions can be seen anywhere in the mouth, not just the tongue. They are typically very painful and can last up to a week at a time. The primary lesion can often be preceded by a day or two of tingling. The virus that causes these lesions is related to genital herpes, and in fact the virus can be transmitted to others via oral sex.

The Yawn Explained: It Cools Your Brain

If your head is overheated, there's a good chance you'll yawn soon, according to a new study that found the primary purpose of yawning is to control brain temperature.

The finding solves several mysteries about yawning, such as why it's most commonly done just before and after sleeping, why certain diseases lead to excessive yawning, and why breathing through the nose and cooling off the forehead often stop yawning.

The key yawn instigator appears to be brain temperature.

"Brains are like computers," Andrew Gallup, a researcher in the Department of Biology at Binghamton University who led the study, told Discovery News. "They operate most efficiently when cool, and physical adaptations have evolved to allow maximum cooling of the brain."

What to say to your partner once you decide the relationship has run its course.

1. Make It Fast
The longer you take to get to the point (whether it's hours or days), the less they will take you seriously. And if you make it look like you're having a hard time going through with the breakup, they will think they can change your feelings or stick around in your life.

2. Be Honest
Don't sugarcoat the situation. If you're seeing someone else, tell them you're seeing someone else. My little sister broke up with a live-in boyfriend because she kissed another guy during a business trip. She told her boyfriend the deal -- it made it more concrete. Avoid cliche's like "I love you, I'm just not in love with you." Guys don't understand this stuff. If you've lost feelings for them, just say it. They can't argue with that. 4. Set Post-Breakup Rules
Let them know the deal: you won't be answering their calls or emails. You won't be accommodating them if they show up at your apartment. Eventually, if they have any personality and independence, they will stop bothering you -- but only if you stick to these rules. If you lay these rules out at the time of breakup, then they can't say: "why are you ignoring my calls?" Don't tell them what they are allowed to do -- they can call you all they want, but if you have stated you won't be answering their calls then you are well within your rights when you don't pick up.

5. Stick With It
The more you take them back, the less seriously they'll take your breakup attempts.

6. Neutral Site
Never do it at your place. You want to be able to leave on your own time. Neutral places are the easiest locations to make a quick getaway. The longer you've been together, the more likely it is that you'll be required to do it in person.

More than 1,000 species discovered in Mekong: WWF

BANGKOK (AFP) – Scientists have discovered more than 1,000 species in Southeast Asia's Greater Mekong region in the past decade, including a spider as big as a dinner plate, the World Wildlife Fund said Monday.

A rat thought to have become extinct 11 million years ago and a cyanide-laced, shocking pink millipede were among creatures found in what the group called a "biological treasure trove".

The species were all found in the rainforests and wetlands along the Mekong River, which flows through Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and the southern Chinese province of Yunnan.

"It doesn't get any better than this," Stuart Chapman, director of WWF's Greater Mekong Programme, was quoted as saying in a statement by the group.

"We thought discoveries of this scale were confined to the history books."

The WWF report, "First Contact in the Greater Mekong", said that "between 1997 and 2007, at least 1,068 have been officially described by science as being newly discovered species."

These included the world's largest huntsman spider, with a leg span of 30 centimetres (11.8 inches), and the "startlingly" coloured "dragon millipede", which produces the deadly compound cyanide.

Not all species were found hiding in remote jungles -- the Laotian rock rat, which the study said was thought to be extinct about 11 million years ago, was first encountered by scientists in a local food market in 2005, it said.

One species of pitviper was first noted by scientists after it was found in the rafters of a restaurant at the headquarters of Thailand's Khao Yai national park in 2001.

"This region is like what I read about as a child in the stories of Charles Darwin," said Dr Thomas Ziegler, curator at the Cologne Zoo, who was involved in the research.

"It is a great feeling being in an unexplored area and to document its biodiversity for the first time both enigmatic and beautiful," he said.

The new species highlighted in the report include 519 plants, 279 fish, 88 frogs, 88 spiders, 46 lizards, 22 snakes, 15 mammals, four birds, four turtles, two salamanders and a toad -- an average of two previously undiscovered species a week for the past 10 years.

The report warned, however, that many of the species could be at risk from development, and called for a cross-border agreement between the countries in the Greater Mekong area to protect it.

ATLANTA – Cancer will overtake heart disease as the world's top killer by 2010, part of a trend that should more than double global cancer cases and deaths by 2030, international health experts said in a report released Tuesday. Rising tobacco use in developing countries is believed to be a huge reason for the shift, particularly in China and India, where 40 percent of the world's smokers now live.

So is better diagnosing of cancer, along with the downward trend in infectious diseases that used to be the world's leading killers.

Cancer diagnoses around the world have steadily been rising and are expected to hit 12 million this year. Global cancer deaths are expected to reach 7 million, according to the new report by the World Health Organization.

An annual rise of 1 percent in cases and deaths is expected — with even larger increases in China, Russia and India. That means new cancer cases will likely mushroom to 27 million annually by 2030, with deaths hitting 17 million.

Underlying all this is an expected expansion of the world's population — there will be more people around to get cancer.

By 2030, there could be 75 million people living with cancer around the world, a number that many health care systems are not equipped to handle.

"This is going to present an amazing problem at every level in every society worldwide," said Peter Boyle, director of the WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer.

Boyle spoke at a news conference with officials from the American Cancer Society, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Cancer Institute of Mexico.

The "unprecedented" gathering of organizations is an attempt to draw attention to the global threat of cancer, which isn't recognized as a major, growing health problem in some developing countries.

"Where you live shouldn't determine whether you live," said Hala Moddelmog, Komen's chief executive.

The organizations are calling on governments to act, asking the U.S. to help fund cervical cancer vaccinations and to ratify an international tobacco control treaty.

Concerned about smoking's impact on cancer rates in developing countries in the decades to come, the American Cancer Society also announced it will provide a smoking cessation counseling service in India.

"If we take action, we can keep the numbers from going where they would otherwise go," said John Seffrin, the cancer society's chief executive officer.

Other groups are also voicing support for more action.

"Cancer is one of the greatest untold health crises of the developing world," said Dr. Douglas Blayney, president-elect of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

"Few are aware that cancer already kills more people in poor countries than HIV, malaria and tuberculosis combined. And if current smoking trends continue, the problem will get significantly worse," he said in a written statement.

A ventriloquist with his dummy was starting his show with his regular routine of dumb blonde jokes. Suddenly a blonde woman interrupted his joke and told him, "How dare you insult people like me just because of the colour of our hair. It's people like you who ~Censored~ our growth in the society." The ventriloquist is embarassed and begins to apologise when the blonde shouts at him, "You stay out of this mister!! I'm talking to that little creep on your knee."

Pedro was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place.

Looking up toward heaven, he said "Lord, take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of my life and give up tequila."

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Pedro looked up again and said "Never mind. I found one."

Two people are walking through a graveyard when they hear a wierd chiseling sound. Scared to death they continue walking sticking together when the clinking noise grew even louder. They are relieved when they find an old man chiseling away at one of the tombstones. One of them walks up to the old man and says, "You gave us such a fright mate, we thought you were a ghost." The old man replies, "Dont worry, its those idiotic graveyard masons, they got my name wrong"..........

Many people are travelling on a plane........Over the Atlantic the plane loses power......The captain announces "We're losing altitide so we are going to have to throw out the luggage". The passengers agree and all the luggage is thrown out. After a few minutes they lose a second engine, the captain announces "We have just lost another engine...we have to throw out the cabin baggage". So the cabin baggage is also thrown out. Just five minutes later a third engine blows out. The captain announces "We are close to land people, but we have to throw out some passengers too". There is an uproar in the cabin. Undaunted the captain continues "Passengers will be thrown out in alphabetical order. A- any asians on board??... no? B - any blacks on board??....no......." Suddenly a little black boy asks his father "Dad, what are we??" His dad replies "Tonight son, we are Zulus................."
